New maintenance release of FND.

This version includes a Spanish localization, as well as some usabillity improvements.

Go grab it!

February 10th, 2008FND 1.1.1

I have just released a maintenance release of FND, that includes some minor interface tweaks and a few bug-fixes.

I wish that, instead of this minor release, I could have finished the work on FND 1.2, but I am having more contract work that what I expected, so I have not been able to test the .Mac sync feature in depth.

Releasing without properly testing doesn’t seem to be a very inteligent policy, so I had to choose between delaying the next release, and release now the stable brach of my code, or wait for at least two more weeks, until I could finish the next version. Well, it was easy to choose.

FND 1.1.1 fix some minor bugs, and adds a few touches to the app interface. It can be downloaded using the built-in update mechanism, or it can be directly downloaded here.

January 4th, 2008What are we cooking now?

Well, it has been almost a month since the release of FND 1.1, and it’s time to forget about the XMas and the New Year’s celebrations and start working again in the following release.

In fact, it’s time to polish the following release, which is almost finished, and to start the work in FND 1.3, while working in the next bambooapps’ applications, codenamed DoNotDareTo.

So, if everything goes as planned, expect FND 1.2 for the next week.

Oh, and Happy New Year!

I must confess that I like to see my app in Apple’s website. Even if the only thing I needed to put it there was feeling up a form…

November 27th, 2007Shipping!

Fifteen days before the initial schedule, and forced by the start of MacSanta 2007 which was my auto-proclaimed deadline, today, November the 27th, FND 1.0 goes live.

Right now, after an 8 hours rush to polish the final details, which include a complete rewritting of the serial number validation scheme, I feel exhausted. Should I be happy, then?

Yes, and not. FND is not my first application. Arriba!, which is still unreleased, was my first shot, but sadly, it is into the freezer right now. Why? Well, because flickr has not found the time (in more than one month) to provide me the api key I need to start selling it.

Anyway, I believe it is better to think only in the good things. And the good thing, today, is that FND is walking its first steps.

Also, stay tuned, because this blog will not only be used for new releases announcements. My evil plan is to turn this blog into a daily of the life of a small software developer.
