Quiet Read 1.1.1

It’s friday, so it is the perfect moment to release another update to Quiet Read. The new release is localized into French, and works better with Opera.

I just started using this. It’s nice and simple. I suggest one enhancement you might consider. I recently acquired the new 17″ MacBook Pro; it’s very nice but the increased screen resolution makes the text very small (resolution independence, where are you). Is it possible to include a preference setting to allow one to increase the size of the text? I realize you are working with a menu list so that may not be possible. Thanks

    Hi Hoyt.

Thanks for trying the app. Your suggestion looks feasible, let me look into it.

    Awesome work!

Would it be possible to add Service and/or AppleScript support? It’ll be very helpful to have them so that one can add the url with shortcut key w/o drag url from one place to another (it’s really a LONG way for ppl using two monitor!).

one more suggest: shall we make the url in the list draggable so that it can be opened in another app instead of always the default one ?

thanks again for this nice app!

Hi Du, thank you for your suggestions.

Actually, I am ready to release an update that includes support for a bookmarklet. I’ll look into making the urls draggable.

Unfortunatly the app still doesn’t work well at all with the Opera browser (10.10 RC3).

    Hi Idan

I am aware of the issues with Opera, and I have a fix ready to be released hopefully by the end of next week

A great help, well done & thank you. It would be great if we could (1) describe a link (2) send it to bookmarks (or other file) if we decided to keep the link
